Michael W. Belin, M.D.
Dr. Michael W. Belin is the area's most experienced laser vision correction specialist. He is a board certified and fellowship trained ophthalmologist and was instrumental in the development of laser vision correction in the Capital Region. Dr Belin was the first area ophthalmologist to perform both LASIK and PRK and has performed over 9,000 procedures. Dr. Belin was awarded the American Academy of Ophthalmology's Honor Award in 1998, Senior Honor Award in 1998 and again in 2009, Achievement Award in 2002 and a life-time Achievement Award in 2009 (an honor bestowed on less than 0.5% of all ophthalmologists). Additionally, Dr. Belin is a Fellow of the Royal Australia & New Zealand College of Ophthalmology and holds Professorships at the Albany Medical College and the University of Ottawa.
Robert L. Schultze, M.D.
Dr. Robert Schultze received certification to perform excimer laser surgery in 1997 and has completed over 3,500 successful LASIK, PRK, Intacs, and Conductive Keratoplasty procedures. He was the first Albany surgeon to perform a CustomLASIK procedure. Dr. Schultze received his medical degree from Temple University School of Medicine in 1994 and completed residency and fellowship training in Cornea and Refractive Surgery at the Albany Medical College. Dr. Schultze has been recognized in the "Guide to America's Top Ophthalmologists" and has received their 'Top Ophthalmologist' award.
